((OOC: This is a list of the mysteries that Tom can cast. Each will have the name, a brief explanation of what it's meant to do, any drawbacks, and how it changes when cast with one hand, two, or as a ritual. If one of them isn't included in an entry, it means that Tom can't cast the mystery that way.))

Compulsion: Every creature has a tendency to obey that which is stronger or more compelling than itself. With this mystery, Tom taps into that tendency and sets himself as that criteria- whether as a werewolf's alpha, a demon's master, or whatever else most applies to the creature.

Dispel: Spells and powers that linger in an area require energy to exert the change onto the world. This mystery allows Tom to unravel and dissipate that energy, removing the effect in question.

Dread Curse: The most powerful curse in Tom's repertoire, Tom metaphysically grabs the victim and twists. There's no telling what the end result will be, but it's always horrific and it's never minor.

Enchantment: Moreso than living creatures, items hold a magical charge well. With this mystery, Tom infuses an item he's touching with power, enhancing the item's purpose.

Gaze Unhindered: Perception is nothing more than what the brain perceives. This mystery allows Tom to substitute distant photons for what currently hits him, allowing him to see at a distant point as though he was there.

Impenetrable Barrier: Force is nothing more than acceleration exceeding inertia. With this mystery, Tom raises inertia to an arbitrarily high amount, making the barrier in question almost impossible to break through.

Limitations Exceeded: The body is nothing more than a series of biological machines. By infusing himself or others with magic, Tom can make himself better at any one facet- strength, intelligence, stamina, things like that.

Mother Tongue: Whatever the language, every individual has a mother tongue- the language their brain thinks in. With this mystery, Tom makes what he speaks understandable as another's mother tongue, and likewise with what they say to him.

Movement Without Touch: Moving an object is nothing more than exerting force upon it. With this mystery, Tom grants himself the power to exert force without touching the object in question. In essence, he has telekinesis while this mystery is active.

Name Which May Not Be Uttered: There are hideous things beyond reality, beyond the thin skein of this universe. To say the name of such a creature is to rupture that skein, with terrible consequences for all concerned. This is Tom's most powerful mystery, and one he can't use in his human form.

Quelling: Every supernatural power requires energy to use. Whether a demon's nature, a mage's magic, or other more esoteric sources of power are the source, the requirement for energy to flow and empower remains the same. This mystery prevents that flow, preventing those powers from being used.

Revelation: This mystery reveals that which is deliberately concealed, whether living or inanimate.
1H: Tom can see through any one concealment he's aware of. Ghosts can be forced to appear, an invisible creature becomes visible, an illusion becomes transparent, a transformation becomes superimposed over the original form, and so on.
2H: Tom creates a field which suppresses such concealments. Any such thing is shown as false to Tom's eyes, and he may move the field with his own movements.
D: When focusing on that which is false, the true becomes concealed. Those things which are not concealed become fuzzy and indistinct, and as long as they do nothing to draw his attention, Tom will usually overlook them.

Summons: Tom can fold space and dimensions to summon creatures to his aid. Generally he requires a name to summon with, and for unique creatures, he needs a tangible connection to that creature- a body part, a memento, something like that. Note that Tom needs to keeps his hands in use to maintain the mystery, otherwise the summoned creature will either disappear or become a free agent.
1H: Tom can temporarily summon minor creatures to assist him. Skeletons, zombies, minor ghosts, servitor demons, and so forth.
2H: Tom can summon more powerful creatures- even those with names and are equivalent to his own power- and control them. Essentially, he 'tags out' and uses the creature's talents and powers instead of his own.
R: Tom can summon almost anything whose name he knows and which he has a tangible connection with. The length of time of the ritual and the effort it takes to do the summons depends on how powerful the creature is.
D: The effort of binding others and twisting space to bring them to his location dislocates Tom. The result is a kind of vertigo- Tom doesn't feel firmly anchored in this space and time, so he must remain motionless.

Ward: There are two ways to prevent someone from crossing a line. One is to fortify the line. The other and more easier way is to remove the capacity of the individual to cross it. With this mystery, Tom removes the ability of an individual to consciously cross a certain space, essentially keeping them in a certain space unless some outside force breaks the mystery.

Withering: Life is surprisingly fragile. The basic building blocks are the same for all living things, and all of them can be removed. This mystery curses those building blocks- specifically water- causing cellular damage to the victim.
